The duo Mikolášková&Drobná has been formed since 2021 by young designers Kristýna Mikolášková and Tereza Drobná. Together, they studied Design at the Czech Technical University in Prague, and Kristýna also graduated from the K.O.V. Studio at UMPRUM, led by Professor Eva Eisler. Their work is characterized by an innovative approach and deeper meaning. Their creations range from home products and furniture to captivating installations for well-known brands, magazines, and cafés. Despite the studio’s short existence, they have received several awards, including the EDIDA 2024 prize for their latest collection, Candy Tables.

| Description | The Candy Tables collection consists of two sizes of independent table pieces that can function individually or in any desired colour combination. Six smaller metal cylinders and six larger glass cylinders create unique variations. While the products themselves are striking solitaires, layering them makes a unique interplay of colours. Overlaying the metal table with the glass one results in a cohesive object with a distinctive colourful gradient. This effect is achieved through manually applied glass colours and then a layer of matte white. Each meticulously crafted tube is then an exceptional original. |
