||The Larra Project started when I was approached by the owners of ISOTRA a.s. to design a new interior roller blind that would replace the existing model and bring a contemporary design that will meet the current demands of the market. ISOTRA has been around for 25 years and since they have 500 employees, a turnover of 750 million, export to 35 countries making them one of the leading manufacturers of shading technology, I didn't think twice and got to work.
The project started in August 2016 and was completed in September 2018 when the product was officially launched on the market. In the meantime, it was also presented at the R+T Stuttgart in February 2018, at the world's largest fair in shading technology, where it received good reviews. In addition to the main product, I was also invited at the end of 2018 to design a wooden exhibition stand for the window blind.
In general, this project brought a lot of valuable lessons as ISOTRA has its own tooling and development department, produces and sell its own products and machines, and has rich experience in manufacturing and engineering, so it was a great experience for me and I gained top quality training and introduction to the world of industry.
