František Jungvirt, born in 1996, is a glass artist, designer and glass painter based in Prague. He has experience working for international studios and famous glass brands like a Moser and Preciosa as well as cooperating with private clients too. He works across a variety of projects ranging from art direction to glass design. His work encompasses everyday products, gallery objects, site-specific artworks and limited series. He mostly return to the most classic references of Czech glassmaking which he associate with new impulses. He try to move the technical and visual boundaries of the glass department. He has been awarded several times for his work. Frantisek is a part of the artistic’s platforms: Michelangelo Foundation and Northlands Creative.

| Description | Collectible series of vases (20/20) The Garden series of iridescent vases in the matte version has a gentle effect and brings a new perspective on the glass material. The iridescent Garden vases in the matte version have a gentle effect and bring a new perspective to the glass material. Crackling stream ice, sometimes shiny, sometimes dull, soft and rough to the touch, gentle fizzing and cracking… The MISTY GARDEN collectible series is inspired by the suede surfaces of fogged windows and the structures of the first frosts in nature. Saturated tones of colorful flowers muted by cold mist. Each vase is hand blown into a wooden mold. Colored glass rubies are added to the red-hot glass, which allows for a unique subtle color transition. The vases are hand-cutted and matted using the sandblasting technique. The exact color, its saturation and distribution on the surface is unique for each vase. Each piece is blown separately and its final shape is different every time! |
